Ask and You Shall Receive

 


 

 

James 1:5
If any of you LACKS wisdom, let him (or, her) ask God, who gives GENEROUSLY to ALL without reproach, and it WILL be given to them.

Have you ever found yourself STUMPED…or…even lacked motivation to finish a project, an idea, resolve a relationship gone bad, fulfill a promise…and a whole lot of other things that were started with a great deal of enthusiasm…only to come to a screeching halt?  Usually, this always happens when our “Mortal” way of thinking finds it IMPOSSIBLE to resolve the issue you’re ultimately facing.  What’s our primal instinct?  Simply give up and try something less complicated to do.  Such as starting a new relationship…how’d that work out for you?  Great start…similar ending.

What is the SOLUTION?  A BELIEVER must delve into the Supernatural…and SEEK God.  Then something MIRACULOUS happens…problems are SOLVED, relationships are mended, ideas begin to blossom…and VICTORIES are manifested before you.

 Proverbs 3:5 
TRUST in the LORD with ALL your heart and lean NOT on your OWN understanding.

Quit trying to figure out IMPOSSIBLE things with your own understanding of how it might work.  Rather, allow the Mighty God of Heaven to make ALL thing’s POSSIBLE…and show you how it WILL work.

      Vic keeps me in line. I never seek attention and Tommy Overstreet said years ago I had a “Whole lot of quit in me!” I will not enumerate how many songs, books, articles or movies I’ve written but I will say that I’ve given away more than I’ve published. Newbies are always talking about “dues” they’ve paid when they first start out. Dues are what you realize when it’s all over and done and the Devil comes knocking.   Alcoholism becomes a viable option and beats working. Fancy words like “depression” don’t work because if you’re a writer you quickly realize that depression gives you the best material because nobody wants to hear about sunny days, they just want to make it through the night.   So, you drink yourself into a pit, and somewhere in that pit is a hit, if you’re lucky.   How’d you like a little death to add life to your party? There’s a new kid on the block. Fentanyl.  Back in the day James Brown lamented “King Heroin.” Fentanyl is the new Kool Aid. Jim Jones Kool Aid! Why in the world would anyone wanna invent something like that is beyond me. Hitler could have saved all that money on Zyklon B if He’d had fentanyl! A little dab’ll do ya? Try 1/500 th of a dab!   Now I know you kids out there are thinking I’m just an old “Fuddy Duddy,” but let me educate you. I’ve been in entertainment since 1969. Do the math. From Austin to Nashville, and I have been there, done that. In addition to that I was crushed between two cars in 1970 and had a legal, non-stop source of pain medication for years.
